Miyama discovers Ageha stabbed with a killer's note, revealing her blood type proves she is not Shimon and Midori's daughter. Shimon is later killed and displayed like a butterfly. Hajime questions Yamano Katsunori about events from 25 years ago involving Minoru Suga, who committed suicide before announcing luminous butterfly research funded by Shimon Madarame.
