Ep. 64: Hajime and Miyuki investigate a haunted island murder case during summer vacation

Broke after spending all his funds, Hajime and Miyuki accept part-time positions at the Otemon summer medical training camp on Shiranui Island, also known as Ghost Fire Island. While waiting for a gastric exam at Otemon Hospital, Hajime observes a comatose boy named Kuniaki Ebisawa. Upon arriving at the Eikou Hostel, they reunite with Kouhei Ohno and learn the building was formerly a sanatorium. Assigned to clean the disused Sarusuberi Room, they interact with staff and students, including Yozo Kawasaki, who inadvertently mentions Ebisawa. Kouhei explains a courage test involving the Sarusuberi Room, where a suicide victim’s ghost supposedly appears at midnight on August 15. Peering through the keyhole, Hajime witnesses Keiichi Morimura hanging in the locked space, yet the room remains empty upon entry.
