Krusty’s group engages the goblin army at Kasumi Lake, while Shiroe details Choushi’s strategic importance at Midraunt headquarters. A monster army advances on Choushi, prompting trainees to persuade Marielle to defend the town. Naotsugu and Nyanta observe the trainees, noting Minori’s imitation of Shiroe’s tactics. As the battle intensifies, Minori’s group is tasked with defending other areas. Shiroe informs Marielle that reinforcements arrive in one hour. Overpowered by monsters, Minori loses control of the engagement. Rundellhous executes a suicide attack with magical gauntlets against two dire wolves. The party fails to revive him. Isuzu reveals Rundellhous is a Lander who dies permanently. Heartbroken but resolute, Minori contacts Shiroe to request further assistance.
