Yuu embarks on a solo journey that he and Miki had originally planned together. Miki holds Kei responsible for the end of their relationship, but Kei remains unapologetic. He argues that if a single falsehood is enough to win Yuu’s affection, he would actually be a more suitable partner for Miki. This harsh perspective deeply distresses Miki, leading her to accidentally interrupt a date between Ginta and Arimi. Meanwhile, Meiko allows Miwa to read her completed novel. She informs him that she has finally decided how the story will conclude.
