Exhausted by frequent confessions, Miki repeatedly attempts to contact Yuu without success, potentially incurring high international call charges. Meanwhile, Michael and Kei engage in a serious rivalry for her affection as she distances herself. Ryouko observes Miki’s desperate attempts to call from school and her enthusiastic tennis practice, subsequently offering her employment. Miki begins working at a new foreign import store owned by Kijima’s wife, Rei, where she meets the other employee, Rei’s brother Akira. The situation resolves when Yuu finally calls home and provides Miki with Bill’s personal number, which is equipped with an answering machine.
