Ep. 8: Keaton negotiates a ransom drop after Shuji Takita is kidnapped in Cardiff.

Shuji Takita, manager of Yazawa Electronics in Cardiff, is abducted in Sherwood Forest with a 25 million pound ransom. His wife reports the crime to president Fumio Hisayama, while Superintendent Costner notifies Inspector Douglas. Lloyd's of London sends Keaton as negotiator, instructing Mrs. Takita to handle all calls. After learning Shuji was strangled in Milford Haven and had quit his job, Mrs. Takita reveals his work obsession to Keaton and father Kozue Takita. Inspector Douglas identifies suspect Jack Carol, who had conflicts with Shuji. The kidnapper reduces the ransom to under three million pounds and directs Mrs. Takita to a drop-off point with a photo showing Shuji with a severed finger. Mrs. Takita delivers the money and receives a call from Shuji, confirming his safety as authorities prepare to arrest the kidnapper.
