Ep. 239: Heiji and Conan solve the Osaka hotel mystery involving soccer star Ray

Heiji investigates hotel rooms while Conan asserts the innocence of three athletes. They discover a mop trick, leading Conan to find a needle in the bathroom trash. Kogoro shares details about Ed McCay’s fluency in Japanese and the term "bandou." Conan identifies Ray as the culprit, who used a soccer ball to trigger lights while committing murder. Ray confesses that false drug rumors destroyed his life, causing his wife’s suicide and his own drug use for joint pain. Conan persuades Ray to surrender through an English conversation. Later, a depressed Conan sits on Heiji’s porch after Ray’s arrest. Ran notes his resemblance to Shinichi. Heiji attempts to juggle a ball to cheer him up, failing before Conan demonstrates the correct technique, prompting Ran and Kazuha to compare their bond to brothers.
