Shigeko Ishikawa, a young widow, is being stalked by an unknown man who previously attempted to push her down public stairs. Kogoro Mouri witnesses this incident while walking in the streets. Shigeko hires Kogoro to locate the stalker before he harms her and her two-year-old child, Santa. Because Ran is training with the karate team, Conan is forced to watch over Santa. The case involves protecting the family from the persistent threat posed by the unidentified pursuer.
