Ep. 591: Detective Boys visit aquarium designer Nishida and uncover his murder involving a fake time of death.

Agasa brings the Detective Boys to the residence of aquarium designer Nishida, where Kousuke Imura admits them after Nishida fails to answer. They discover Nishida’s body in the bathtub, leading police to initially rule the death as accidental drowning from alcohol consumption two days prior. Conan refutes this by noting the bathroom light was off. While police confirm Imura’s alibi of being in Guam, Conan deduces the true method: Imura used a cooler from a shrimp tank to manipulate the perceived time of death. Evidence includes wet glue on Nishida’s finger, dead shrimp, a contact lens in the tank, and nitrous acid reactions revealing gunpowder on Imura’s shirt and the cooler. Imura confesses to killing Nishida after learning he would be replaced after five years of work.
