Richard, Rachel, and Conan encounter a homeless man at an art exhibit who suffers amnesia after being hit by the Junior Detective League. He is later found strangled under an overpass. Conan uses the victim's sketches to locate his home, where Amy finds a photo identifying him as Troy Haysum. Troy's wife, Kimmy, claims he died last year. Richard reveals Troy was suspected of embezzlement. Conan deduces Kimmy murdered him to claim his money faster than the courts would allow. Evidence shows her cleaning crew missed a painting stained with Troy's fingerprints. Kimmy confesses to the crime driven by greed and is arrested.
