Flashbacks reveal Yuno killed her abusive banker parents, finding purpose in her love for Yuki. Yuki asks Deus to resurrect his mother, but the dying god warns that existence will collapse without a successor. Yuki confronts his father about the murder, knowing the truth from a diary, though Kurou notes a lack of evidence. Yuki follows his father, who intended to visit a stargazing site before surrendering. During their reconciliation, Eleventh's agents ambush them, killing Yuki's father. Yuki and Yuno defeat the attackers. Yuki vows to win the survival game to gain the power to resurrect his parents. When he states this requires killing Yuno, she calmly accepts that she is ready to die for him.
