Ep. 7: Wei Wuxian meets Wen Ning and causes chaos at the Nightless City archery tournament
While searching for the archery field in the Nightless City, Wei Wuxian encounters Wen Ning practicing and asks for directions. At the Grand Discussion hosted by the Wen sect, Wei Wuxian pranks Lan Wangji by suggesting his headband is crooked. During the event, Wen Chao harasses Wen Ning, prompting Wei Wuxian to defend his friend’s abilities despite Wen Ning’s nervous failure. Later, Wen Chao violently attacks a disciple who insults him, but Lan Wangji intervenes to save the victim. Wei Wuxian observes Lan Wangji’s headband is actually slanted and attempts to fix it, only to remove it entirely. This enrages Lan Wangji, who departs early. Wei Wuxian wins first place while Lan Wangji places fourth, leaving Jiang Cheng jealous and the Wen clan leader displeased.
