Jul 7, 2020Rio Kurotori faints after obtaining a fake Forbidden Text during a meeting with Soratsugu "Enchu" Madoka and Teeki the Fallen. Meanwhile, Nana Takenouchi interrupts Yumi and Rika, who are contacting the spirit Kokkuri. At the office, Toru Muhyo and Jiro "Roji" Kusano discuss a recent magic prison incident before Nana shares details about the spirit contact. Kokkuri attacks Yumi in her bathtub, but Nana and Roji arrive to find her deteriorated. Magical law enforcer Daranimaru Goryo and judge Hanao Ebisu of the Goryo Bureau of Supernatural Investigation perform an exorcism, restoring Yumi. They suspect Roji is a failure to Muhyo. Yumi warns that Rika is in danger. Kokkuri enters Rika's home and falls into traps set by Goryo and Ebisu. Goryo sentences Kokkuri to the Cavern of Roaring Tigers. Ebisu explains the Sendai office is one of ninety-nine managed by Goryo. Goryo challenges Muhyo to a commission race for the Akagawa Estates, with the winner taking the district and the loser leaving permanently.

Jul 14, 2020Rio endures a painful purification ritual while Goryo and Ebisu wager their entire arrangement on an upcoming challenge. Muhyo explains the century-long decline of Goryo’s Onmyōdō family, noting that the Akagawa Estates demolition was abandoned twenty years ago due to spiritual interference, raising the exorcism fee to 30 million yen. During the confrontation, Muhyo shields Nana with a Silver Curtain barrier. Inside, Muhyo and Roji encounter a foggy face spirit and a swarm of round doll spirits. Flashbacks reveal Ai, a girl who died after receiving handmade dolls, and her grieving mother who created the spirits. Muhyo sentences the dolls to Hell's Picture Book for obstructing magical law, but they replicate mitotically. Goryo abandons Nana to use the barrier, leaving her vulnerable to Ebisu and the dolls until Muhyo and Roji arrive to rescue her.

Nana hears a mysterious voice, which Roji identifies as the spirit of Ai's mother. Muhyo advises Nana to contact Ai's spirit to pacify the mother. Goryo sentences the doll spirits to Thunder Hell Boy for haunting and murder, but they escape Ebisu's circle. Muhyo summons the sage Yuuri, who defeats Thunder Hell Boy. Roji creates a summoning board, enabling Nana to contact Ai and extract the mother spirit. After Ai and her mother reconcile, Yuuri escorts them to the River Styx. Roji objects to Muhyo declaring Goryo and Ebisu the winners, but Muhyo explains his interference aimed to offer redemption, noting Nana's exclusion from the challenge. Believing he lacks talent, Roji receives an indefinite break to reflect on his selection as assistant, which Goryo interprets as a firing.

Roji travels by train with Reiko Imai to the Magic Law Academy, triggering memories of his application two years prior. During his interview, Roji mistakenly identified Muhyo as a child. That night, he and a magical law judge became trapped inside a vengeful snake spirit in his hotel room. While other candidates failed, Roji channeled his ren into the judge’s staff to free them. Muhyo punished the spirit with Hades's Grasping Hands for unlawful entry and injury. Despite praise from others, Muhyo insulted the failed applicants. He then offered Roji the position of second-class secretary and green suspenders after Roji admitted his desire to help people. In the present, Imai encourages Roji to understand his selection. Meanwhile, Enchu celebrates Rio’s recovery, and Muhyo meets with Yoichi and Biko to prepare for a project.

Aug 4, 2020Yoichi displays a photo of Rio and Enchu to Muhyo and Biko. In New York City, Enchu and Chiyo Sakurai enter a bookstore where Teeki attacks the owner. Roji stays with Imai, who provides a pamphlet for a Magic Law Academy exam, a plan devised by Muhyo and Imai. Roji meets Imai near the academy, where they encounter twins Lili and Maril Mathias, who suspect a romance. The group spots Ebisu, confirming his dismissal. After the twins leave a note, examinees receive paper bags and change into tracksuits for a physical test. Several candidates, including Roji and Ebisu, are escorted to a pastry-filled food court after breaking medical devices. Page Klaus reveals this is a potential gauge for their magical power and that he will mentor them at a retreat. Meanwhile, Muhyo, Yoichi, and Biko complete a messenger gate to Hell, with Biko saving Yoichi. At night, Roji loses repeatedly in a card game to the twins before facing a three-eyed spider spirit during secret survival training monitored by Page.

Simultaneously, Muhyo summons Yuuri to battle Hades Ruararie, who gains the upper hand using Thousand Tongues. Page and associates breach the dormitory, arresting Bellocent and ghasts, who are sentenced to The Magebow. Days after the magic law exam, Roji interns at the executive office. Page offers him a part-time investigator job, but Roji declines to remain Muhyo’s partner. Page confirms Roji passed the test of his kind heart. Roji finishes his internship and reunites with Muhyo, Yoichi, and Biko. Muhyo rehires Roji, and they plan to reclaim their old office. Enchu gives Rio the genuine Forbidden Text. Page hires Nana as an investigator. As the group prepares to celebrate, Nana receives a call from Kenji Satō, prompting a return to their office.

Roji and Kenji enter but are trapped by a female spirit with long black hair and red eyes. Nana struggles to wake a sleeping Muhyo, who eventually arrives to identify the spirit as non-malignant. Roji suspects the recorder is linked to the spirit’s tragic past. Muhyo sentences the spirit to Mottled Shadow's Keeper for unsolicited transformation. Kenji asks Nana to teach him the recorder properly. A flashback shows a girl teaching her brother. As Kenji plays, the spirit thanks him and passes on. The group visits the tombstone of Kyoko, who died two years ago protecting her brother Manabu in a fire. Meanwhile, the Goryo Group Syndicate locates the hideout of Ark, a group of forbidden magical law practitioners. At a meeting, Rio shows Tomas the genuine Forbidden Text, which requires a key to unlock. Elsewhere, Muhyo, Roji, Nana, Yoichi, and Biko visit Imai. Ebisu tells Roji he plans to return to Goryo. Sep 8, 2020Goryo sentences Tomas to the Ropes of Avici for unauthorized lingering, but Tomas, his former teacher, captures him and dispels the sentence. While the Goryo Group Syndicate headquarters burns due to Teeki’s remote spirit attacks, Muhyo, Roji, Nana, Yoichi, and Ebisu learn of Goryo’s abduction. Sakon leads them to Tomas’s hideout, where they are attacked by giant artificial constructs. Inside, they find Goryo chained and infested with worms of unmaking that are spectralizing him. Yoichi attempts to save Goryo with magic-binding spells and exorcism pills, but these efforts fail. As Goryo grows four additional limbs, Ebisu is impaled while trying to stop Sakon from killing him. Tomas reveals he orchestrated the reunion between Goryo and Ebisu. Yoichi realizes killing Tomas will save Goryo, while Kiriko communicates with Nana amidst the chaos.
EP 11Confrontation with Tomas and the Activation of Beelzebub's Armor
Sep 15, 2020Nana photographs Tomas while Kiriko banishes worms of unmaking from Goryo. Ebisu destroys one worm using a talisman. At the Magic Law Association headquarters, Imai sees will-o'-the-wisps from the Goryo Estate. Page reveals Teeki stole the Forbidden Text, but the Association blames Tomas, revealing corruption. Flashbacks show Page and Tomas were friends at school until Tomas’s criminal past emerged. Imai notes Ark seeks the Forbidden Text. Muhyo and Roji confront Tomas, who claims half-ghast status. Muhyo sentences him to Beelzebub's Treasure Chest, but the sentence fails as Beelzebub is Tomas’s benefactor. Tomas trades his soul for Beelzebub's Armor, becoming bulletproof. Police rescue Goryo and Ebisu. The group flees from gluttonous Tomas, who absorbs attacks. Roji performs exorcism while Muhyo summons spirit strikers, but Tomas devours them and transforms. He then lunges at his enemies.

Sep 22, 2020A surviving spirit striker slices Tomas in half, but the attack fails. Tomas creates a Styxsand vortex portal to the underworld. Muhyo orders Roji to enter the center to retrieve and destroy Tomas's book of magical law. Using an illusion, Roji succeeds and exits through Tomas's back. Muhyo summons dark crows around Tomas. As Tomas retaliates, Yoichi protects Muhyo with a spirit barrier. Tomas refuses to reveal Enchu's whereabouts and prepares to attack Roji, Nana, and Kiriko. Muhyo sentences Tomas to Hades's Judgment for obstruction of magical law, attempted murder, and forgery of spiritual entities. Page and Goryo learn of the defeat. Sakon reports that Ebisu has awakened from his hospital coma. Biko fails to create a new book of magical law after fifty attempts. Teeki watches Rio unreveal the seal of the Forbidden Text, while Enchu targets Roji. Goryo and Ebisu allow Muhyo and Roji to return to their old office. Yoichi, Nana, and Kiriko continue as part-time investigators. Roji invites an elderly female client into the office.
