Following the capture of Roshi, the Jinchuriki of the Four-Tails, Itachi and Kisame receive news from the Akatsuki leader regarding Orochimaru's demise. They are also cautioned about Sasuke's potential pursuit of Itachi. Subsequently, after the sealing of the Three-Tails and Four-Tails, Deidara and Tobi begin their hunt for either Naruto or Sasuke. In parallel, the Hebi team collects provisions at an abandoned Uchiha warehouse. Kakashi organizes Team Kurenai, under his command, to join forces with Team Kakashi, led by Yamato, in order to track down and capture Itachi.
