Naruto, Kakashi, and the ninja hounds begin their search, while the Hebi group splits up to gather intelligence on Itachi. Sakura passes Karin as Hinata, Yamato, and Naruto encounter Kabuto, who provides a book containing details about the Akatsuki. Kabuto discloses that he has transplanted Orochimaru’s remains into his own body in a quest for self-discovery before departing to locate Sasuke. Meanwhile, Sasuke is confronted by Tobi and Deidara and readies himself for an impending battle with the two opponents.
