Gerotora consults the Great Elder regarding Jiraya’s proposal to reside within Naruto, prompting the Elder to summon the boy for verification. Concurrently, a recovered Tsunade convenes a meeting to strategize against the Akatsuki. Naruto evades Konohamaru and his companions to enjoy ramen at the reopened Ichiraku shop. Before he can eat, Fukasaku Reverse-Summons him to Mt. Myoboku. There, the Great Elder tests Naruto’s perception by describing an octopus and a youth with powerful eyes, whom Naruto identifies as Sasuke. Upon receiving the correct answer, the Elder grants Gerotora permission to ask Naruto to sign the scroll necessary for consciously controlling the Nine Tails’ seal.
