Naruto hesitates to sign Gerotora's scroll until the toad explains the need to separate Nine Tails chakra from its will. Recalling past possessions, he signs the scroll to fight Sasuke as an equal. Gerotora enters Naruto, who is then told by Fukasaku he will meet a prophetic octopus on an isolated island. Meanwhile, Kabuto Yakushi, having mastered abilities from Orochimaru's remains, summons Reanimated corpses of Itachi, Sasori, Deidara, Kakuzu, and Nagato. He proposes an alliance to Tobi, offering the ninja army for Sasuke. Tobi accepts after viewing a figure in a sixth casket. Kabuto also lures Anko's pursuit group to the Akatsuki base.
