Kushina's chakra imprint leaves Naruto, who vows to surpass previous Hokage. He awakens with Nine Tails Chakra Mode and senses negative emotions, detecting Kisame hidden in Samehada. Kisame had taken Killer Bee's chakra after Ai and Bee killed a decoy. He escapes to warn Tobi about Jinchuriki locations but encounters Guy, who mistakes him for a reflection. Kisame loses Samehada to Bee despite using the sword to replenish chakra. Guy intercepts Kisame as he attempts to give a scroll to a shark. He defeats the chakra-absorbing villain using his technique, Hirudora, ending the confrontation. This event occurs during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown arc, specifically episode 16 of 22.
