After escaping Tobi’s control, the Nine Tails continues its rampage while Hiruzen and the ninja attempt to expel it from the village. Minato arrives and utilizes Gamabunta to restrain the beast, allowing him to teleport it to the outskirts alongside his family. Kushina binds the creature with chakra chains, planning to absorb it into her body despite the fatal cost. Minato rejects this plan, noting the beast would eventually reform and create a power vacuum. Instead, he decides to sacrifice himself, employing the Reaper Death Seal to extract the yin half of the Nine Tails. This allows the weakened entity to be sealed within Naruto. When the beast attempts a final breakout, Minato and Kushina intervene to take a lethal blow intended for their son. They leave behind chakra-based manifestations to help Naruto tame the beast before bidding him farewell.
