While searching for Hayate’s team, Yuugao recalls past kenjutsu sparring sessions. The sealing squad locates the group, quickly neutralizing other members before confronting Hayate. Yuugao sustains injuries protecting Sakura from Hayate’s attack, forcing them to retreat for medical care. Unable to continue, Yuugao explains her condition to Sakura, who insists on fighting due to Kabuto’s unforgivable techniques and proceeds alone to retrieve the scroll. Hayate attempts a fatal strike, but Yuugao intervenes to save Sakura. Hayate praises Yuugao’s swordsmanship improvement during their engagement. Kabuto attempts to seize Hayate’s consciousness, pinning Yuugao to a tree. Hayate regains control, allowing Yuugao to pierce him with her sword. He falls and is subsequently sealed, after which the group returns to the medical camp.
