The Third Division discovers Master Chen, a Hidden Leaf hero presumed dead in the Third Shinobi World War. Might Guy attempts to challenge the renowned taijutsu master but is forced onto the defensive. Chen escapes to find reinforcements, encountering Rock Lee, who recognizes the legend from his genin days. Lee engages Chen in combat, successfully countering the Leaf Dragon God technique with the One-Man Front Lotus. As Chen’s reincarnated body disintegrates, he recalls his past student who died in the Third Shinobi World War and accepts his fate. Lee promises to leave rice ball offerings at Chen’s grave, honoring the fallen shinobi.
