Team Asuma secures Shuu at an inn while Naruto acts as a decoy. Akatsuki members Deidara and Sasori travel toward their target. Naruto’s cover is exposed when Tatewaki and Chiyo discover the truth. Sasori attacks with his hundred puppets and Deidara uses explosives. Tatewaki confronts Sasori, stating his eternal loyalty to the deceased daimyo. Sasori kills Tatewaki using the Puppet Technique: Prosthetic Arm Senbon. Yamato observes the mission's success from afar. In the present, Tatewaki learns Chiyo and Shuu are safe with the Feudal Lord Protection Squad. Relieved, Tatewaki stops struggling and passes away as his body crumbles. This event occurs during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc, specifically episode 43 of 53.
