After escaping the Shinobi Alliance, reincarnated Torune attempts a unique kinjutsu, but Shino tracks him using kikaichu. Their confrontation reveals a shared past where Shibi protected Torune after Shikuro died, allowing them to grow like siblings. Torune laments his lack of friends in Root compared to Fū, while Shino recalls how Torune saved him from that organization. During the fight, Torune uses Root-taught taijutsu and a Poison Cloud Justu, which Shino’s insects block. Naruto’s clone intervenes, and Shino warns him not to touch Torune’s skin to avoid poison. Naruto breaks Torune’s sword with a Rasengan, but Shino intercepts a punch, revealing his insects have developed resistance by breeding with Torune’s own. Shino paralyzes Torune and applies a sealing tag, halting the forbidden technique.
