Mio returns to support Chief, enabling a fifth-round knockout. The combined winnings and savings allow Marla to purchase the community land. Chief urges Joe to return to serious Megaloboxing for a future match. However, Chief is found dead in his truck the next day. The community holds a funeral as Marla completes the land transaction. Mio informs Joe that they will preserve Chief's Gear as a memorial. Joe thanks Marla and Mio, then rides away on his bike, determined to confront his past rather than flee from it.
