Ep. 6: Okita and Tetsu Spar While Yamanami Wins the Footrace with Abacus Skates

During Hijikata's absence, Tetsu appears depressed amidst a martial arts competition. Okita finds him in the dojo, and they engage in a spar where Okita explains that motivations for strength vary, though Tetsu falls asleep during the lesson. Meanwhile, Yamanami wins the footrace using abacuses as roller skates, earning a pot of rice. In the afternoon, Okita invites children to a melee competition. Saya, one of the participants, approaches Tetsu to apologize, leading to their reconciliation. Tetsu promises to dedicate himself to becoming stronger without saddening Saya, despite his ongoing worries.
