Reiji informs Eren that Cal works for Inferno as a phantom assassin, expressing guilt for her descent into the underworld. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Scythe Master launch an operation to eliminate a Chinese mafia, though Scythe displays disregard for human life. Scythe claims the phantom can end the mission in ten seconds, but Drei crashes the meeting, killing everyone including Lizzie’s team. Lizzie criticizes Scythe’s methods, prompting him to explain that Cal’s unresolved feelings for Reiji drive her hatred and killer nature. Scythe admits he used Cal for revenge against Reiji rather than brainwashing her. Eren receives a bullet from Drei and heads to the church, where Reiji encounters Scythe. Scythe reveals his manipulation of Cal and hints that Eren is now a target. The episode concludes with Drei introducing herself to Eren at the church.
