This episode summarizes Cal’s life with Reiji, revealing a scene where she cleans his apartment while wearing a maid uniform. Cal repairs an old tape recorder and visits a video store, where a poster for Back Draft coincides with a backdraft explosion destroying the apartment. Rushing to the flames, she screams Reiji’s name, fearing he will believe she is dead and not return. After the fire subsides, Cal waits in the ruins, realizing Reiji will not come back, which prevents them from being together as she cannot enter his world. She plays a locket watch melody and cries, unaware this event is part of Claudia’s plan against Scythe Master. A broken broom with two charms remains intact, symbolizing their bond.
