Ep. 6: Licht and Hina rescue Pelmo from an abyss after destroying her experimental aircraft.
After being discovered by Hina and Nana, Licht learns that roads are blocked following his battle with Murdoch. Hina expresses jealousy over Licht fighting for another woman. Licht saves Pelmo from falling and agrees to help her realize her dream of flight, despite the death penalty for such research. He modifies her design while Hina praises him, though Licht worries about the danger. When Hina asks about his dream, he deflects with a crude remark. Soldiers arrive, forcing Licht to destroy the aircraft by claiming the wings are broken windmill sails. An abyss opens, and Pelmo reveals her count has reached zero as her dreams fail. Hina attempts to save Pelmo, but the abyss resists. Licht suffers a violent flashback when the abyss strikes his sword. Pelmo enters the abyss, believing it leads to another world, while Licht nearly faints as numbers flash in his left eye.
