Ash and his companions encounter a timid Jigglypuff in the forest that cannot sing due to a sore throat. Brock provides a healing fruit, allowing the Pokémon to perform its hypnotic melody. However, Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket fall asleep, which infuriates Jigglypuff. Team Rocket then deceives the group into providing a stage for a performance in Neon Town, where they plan to rob the residents. The audience, including the protagonists and villains, succumbs to sleep once again. Enraged, Jigglypuff uses a marker concealed in its microphone to draw on the faces of all the sleeping individuals.
