Ash, Gary, and their companions arrive at a canyon for a traditional fossil excavation. Team Rocket arrives with plans to destroy the site. The group falls into a pit containing awakened ancient Pokémon. Ash’s disobedient Charmeleon evolves into Charizard to battle a raging Aerodactyl. The ancient creatures are sealed away again, along with the frightened Team Rocket. Officer Jenny attributes the incident to Jigglypuff’s singing. Amidst the chaos, Ash discovers and keeps a rare Pokémon egg.
