Depleted of medicine, Ash and his companions visit Mossgreen Village to purchase healing potions. The shop owner, Cassandra (キヨミ, Kiyomi), desires her weak Paras to evolve into a Parasect to harvest its mushroom for a new miracle potion. Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket agree to assist Cassandra by training her Paras with the goal of triggering its evolution. Complications arise when Ash's Charmeleon begins to disobey his commands. Despite these challenges, the Paras confronts its fears and ultimately evolves into a Parasect after defeating Charmeleon in battle.
