Ep. 1: Ash and friends return to Nuvema Town after the Unova League, meeting Nanette who chooses Tepig and battles Ash before Team Rocket attacks.

Following the conclusion of the Unova League tournament, Ash and his companions travel back to Nuvema Town to visit Professor Juniper and report their tournament results to Professor Oak. During their journey, they encounter Nanette, who is heading to Professor Juniper’s lab to select her first Pokémon. She ultimately chooses Tepig and requests a battle against Ash. While they fight, a robot controlled by Team Rocket emerges in an attempt to capture Pikachu. Afterward, Professor Juniper receives a phone call from her father, who extends an invitation for Ash and his friends to visit him at the White Ruins, a location situated north of Icirrus City.
