The group detours to the Poke Ball Factory, where three managers offering a tour are revealed to be Team Rocket. The villains trick the heroes into surrendering all their Poke Balls and Pikachu, locking them in a storeroom. Pikachu escapes and a chase begins as he attempts to retrieve the stolen case while Meowth tries to trap him using his own Poke Ball. Meowth challenges Pikachu to a battle, promising to return the items if he wins. However, Meowth attempts to double-cross him. Pikachu defeats Meowth with Iron Tail, causing Team Rocket to blast off. The heroes are freed and receive an official factory tour from the real managers as a thank you.
