Ep. 82: Heroes join a Pokemon costume festival while Jessie trades a Pumpkaboo to rescue Pikachu.
Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie encounter a Gourgeist Festival where participants wear Pokemon costumes. Team Rocket, also in disguise, receives an invitation from Count Pumpka because his Prince Pumpkaboo is interested in Jessie’s Pumpkaboo. Jessie claims that Ash and his friends stole her Pikachu and proposes trading her Pumpkaboo to the Count if he helps retrieve it. The Count’s steward confronts the heroes but mistakenly captures Chespin, who is dressed as Pikachu, instead of the actual Pikachu wearing a Psyduck costume. Jessie agrees to the exchange at the castle. After the trade, her Pumpkaboo evolves into a Gourgeist, causing the Prince to lose interest. Jessie reclaims her Pokemon, Team Rocket is exposed and blasts off, and Clemont is reunited with Chespin.
