With hope fading, Seijuro arrives to confront Fuji. He reveals that Fuji has been manipulated and demands a fair duel. Seijuro defeats Fuji using the Kuzu-ryūsen attack. This fight is a necessary step before Kenshin can eventually challenge Shishio.
