Ep. 16: Kōrin recovers in Sekiei while Eigetsu visits her and officials plot against Shūrei

Kōrin is taken to Sekiei village to recover from shock, while Yōgetsu meets Kashin’s spirit and requests a favor from Dr. Yō, one of the Eight Sages in disguise. At dawn, Eigetsu visits Kōrin, stating that Yougetsu has granted him life again, allowing him to die of old age. Meanwhile, Imperial Palace officials are outraged that the outbreak ended and attempt to deny credit to Shūrei. Ryūki demotes Eigetsu, and Shūrei is suspended to Joukan, a nominal rank. As Sekiei village begins to revive, Shūrei and his companions receive a letter from the Palace informing them of their demotions.
