After losing his arm to Mugen in a restaurant, a bodyguard serving the prefect’s son demands retribution. He dispatches two killers from his secluded forest hut. Jin confronts an assassin who appears unremarkable but possesses exceptional combat skills. Meanwhile, Mugen faces a massive, ogre-like warrior with supernatural strength and a demonic demeanor. During these battles, the bodyguard abducts Fuu. The trio is thus divided as Jin and Mugen engage their respective foes while Fuu is held captive. The bodyguard’s quest for vengeance drives the conflict, pitting the samurai against two distinct and dangerous opponents sent from his remote hideout.
