Annoyed by Fuu's controlling behavior, Mugen and Jin dissolve their group at a road fork, each traveling alone to a town with an inn. Unaware of the local gang war, they both accept jobs as bodyguards. Meanwhile, Fuu reaches the same location but is captured by yakuza members and forced into servitude as a harlot and dice dealer. She ends up overseeing the dice game played by Mugen and Jin. This shared experience serves as a reminder of their original promise and duty to one another, rekindling their bond despite their earlier separation and the dangerous circumstances surrounding them in the town.
