Ep. 19: Ronja and Birk reconcile after a dispute over a missing knife and a bear attack

Ronja and Birk catch fish early the next morning after their first night alone. Ronja notices a wound on Birk's foot and gathers moss for future injuries, recalling her mother's treatments. Days later, they argue over Birk's missing knife, with Birk accusing Ronja of theft due to her father's reputation. Hurtful words lead Ronja to flee, leaving Birk alone. Birk soon finds the knife but remains stubborn, sulking in the cave. He eventually realizes his error, waits for Ronja, and then searches for her. He finds her with an injured mare whose foal was killed by a bear. Ronja treats the mare's wounds with moss, and the pair reconcile. They name the mare Lia, decide to keep her until she heals, and milk her for drinking. They swear not to let trivial matters like a missing knife divide them.
