Yuito and Kasane discover the holographic Wakana is a BABE construct designed to hinder their progress. When BABE shuts down, Luka proposes using red strings to travel back in time to the day Wakana died. Kasane volunteers to go alone to avoid temporal paradoxes involving Yuito. She successfully opens a portal and meets the real Wakana, who anticipated her arrival via data transmission from the future. Wakana reveals that only Yuito’s death can stop the Kunad Gate but asks Kasane to deliver an ear cuff to him. Kasane returns to the present, giving the item to Yuito, which restores his memory of her saving his life. After rescuing Wakana from a Togetsu assassin, Kasane brings her to the present, reuniting the trio.
