Ep. 18: Karen's Wish reveals past connections and the urgent mission to stop Togetsu.

The platoons bring Fubuki to a safehouse where he recovers and explains that the Other holding facility was designed to help Alice, Hanabi's aunt and Fubuki's fiancée, regain her human form. They discover Karen absorbed Yuito and Kasane's powers to save Alice. Fubuki reveals he was childhood friends with Karen, Luka, and Alice, who sought to join the OSF despite lacking psionic abilities. Karen and Luka, born as duds, were experimented on by scientists to artificially grant them powers. Karen eventually awakened the ability to copy others, while Fubuki and Alice joined the OSF. Alice proposed Karen and Fubuki lead the organization, an idea Karen rejected but Fubuki supported. During a mission near the Extinction Belt, Alice absorbed a beam to save Karen, transforming into an Other. Karen incapacitated her, and despite efforts by Spring Pharmaceuticals in Seiran, Alice remained locked up. Fubuki believed the experiments prolonged her suffering and urged Karen to end it, but Karen refused. The platoons conclude Karen has failed to save Alice through time travel repeatedly. They decide to focus on stopping Togetsu by accessing its supercomputer, BABE. Fubuki hopes to unite Suoh and Seiran against Togetsu. To proceed, the platoons must return to Togetsu, but Kagero confesses he killed Yuito's father.
