Ep. 17: Kasane's Platoon Intercepts Karen at Arahabaki to Save Yuito
Kasane’s unit travels to Arahabaki to stop Karen from copying Yuito’s gravikinsis, leaving behind her sister before departure. Karen overpowers Yuito’s platoon, seizing control of Arahabaki and forcing Yuito to activate psionic powers that open a portal to the past. Upon arrival, Kasane’s group discovers Karen has inflicted severe brain damage on Yuito, causing memory loss and temporal disappearance. Kyoka and Arashi explain that full amnesia will erase Yuito entirely. To prevent this, Arashi creates a special program using a brain blueprint from Togetsu, allowing soldiers to upload their memories into Yuito. He regains consciousness after viewing visions of his future self and mother. The platoons return to the surface, where they learn Yuito’s data has reached the public, eroding trust in the New Himuka government. Fubuki joins them to discuss next steps but collapses from his injuries.
