Ep. 16: Naomi and Alice bond while Kasane’s platoon races to stop a brainwashing weapon authorized by Kaito.
Naomi bonds with Alice, a human-derived Other, during captivity as Seiran moves them to a testing area for a new weapon. Kasane’s platoon races to save Naomi, while Yuito’s platoon heads to Arahabaki to broadcast gathered information to New Himuka. At the site, Kaito authorizes a brainwashing weapon and orders Fubuki’s assassination. Togetsu intervenes, sending Design Children to overwhelm Kasane’s team. The human-derived Others destroy the attackers but die, with Naomi urging Kasane to live. Karen defeats assassins targeting Fubuki but learns Alice has died. He teleports to assimilate Kasane’s gravikinesis to save her. Yuito’s group broadcasts the message to Suoh’s systems, destroying Sumeragi’s legacy. As they exit Arahabaki, Yuito is ambushed by Karen, who begins assimilating his gravikinesis.
