Tatsumi visits Natsuno, whose father attacks him before revealing they are jinrou. After strangling Natsuno, the father demands allegiance. Meanwhile, Ritsuko awakens as a shiki with recovered memories while Toru and Yoshie witness this. Ozaki, bitten by Chizuru, takes her to the Kagura festival, where villagers discover his conflicting bite marks and expose her true nature. As the crowd turns hostile, Seishiro and Atsushi intervene with a shotgun to rescue Chizuru. Atsushi’s father halts their escape, forcing Atsushi to flee with Seishiro. Left alone, Chizuru faces the enraged villagers with no means of escape.
