Shiki regains consciousness within the Tohno residence, where Akiha reprimands him for arriving late the previous evening. During school hours, he feels relief upon discovering that Yumizuka survived the earlier assault by Nrvnqsr, contrary to his initial fears. Akiha subsequently hosts a gathering to formally introduce Shiki to the Tohno family, marking his official welcome. In a private conversation with the maid Kohaku, Shiki learns that Akiha, despite her stern exterior, is genuinely happy about his presence. That night, Shiki experiences a vivid dream in which Arcueid appears, expressing a desire for his blood. The following day, Arcueid shows up at school seeking Shiki, causing him significant embarrassment.
