Shiki learns at school that three students vanished the previous night while in the city. Upon returning home, Akiha serves him tea after dinner and permits him to keep a television, despite her usual dislike of noisy items. Shiki then leaves to meet Arcueid, who explains she has been earning money. They discover the three students, whom Arcueid identifies as being under Roa's control. Arcueid eliminates two of them, and Shiki defeats the third. Afterward, Shiki shows Arcueid around the city and promises to go on a date with her later.
