Takeru purchases a radio-controlled car, which Squid Girl takes for a drive but accidentally damages. Feeling remorseful, she offers to serve as a replacement vehicle, yet quickly apologizes for breaking that idea as well. The group then participates in the Tanabata Star Festival by writing down their wishes on paper strips. Squid Girl finds it difficult to select just one wish from her many desires. Meanwhile, after Takeru completes his summer homework, Squid Girl attempts to assist him in discovering methods for him to entertain himself alone.
