Authorities investigate the Giant Hornets' defeat by Robber Flies, noting weapon integrity suggests human telekinesis involvement. The council votes to destroy the Robber Fly colony. Advisor Shisei Kaburagi suspects Maria and Mamoru, but DNA evidence from recovered bones confirms their deaths, shocking Saki. Despite concerns from Monster Rat representatives and a councilmember, a summer festival proceeds. During the event, Monster Rats launch a surprise assault. Satoru and Saki are rescued by Kaburagi using his telekinetic abilities. Following the attack and resulting casualties, Tomiko vows revenge against Yakomaru for his treason.
