Fumihiko and Dr. Chizuru Tomi select various island children for service enrollment, causing despair among parents. These chosen candidates begin their initial training to pilot the Fafners. Concurrently, Kazuki pursues a red female ghost and finds her body confined in the base basement. While the island is scheduled for relocation, a search plane approaches from an unexpected direction. An enemy appears at this critical moment, threatening the ongoing operations and the safety of the selected pilots during their early training phase.
