Kazuki rescues a search plane pursued by Festum, ignoring specific orders against intervention. As the island shifts position, the plane observes the ongoing battle. To prevent further damage, the island deactivates its camouflage. A female core saves the Fafner from sinking into the ocean while simultaneously trapping the Festum. This allows Kazuki to shoot down the alien entity. Because the island's true nature is now visible, the search plane transmits a report back to its headquarters.
